"Where do I start? I, and my siblings were tasked with selling my childhood home, the only home my parents ever lived in (for over 65 years) during their marriage, after their death. The house had been unoccupied for a couple of years and had been somewhat neglected during their later years. It was still FILLED with all their belongings. To say the least, it was a daunting task preparing the house for sale. In stepped Zan. I had received the reference to her from a high school friend who had nothing but glowing comments about her. I now know why. We needed help in every area, from minor fix ups to clean out to sales prep. Zan was there for everything. First, she did a tour of the house to see what she thought would need to be done to give it the best look to get the best price. She developed a recommended task list and an estimate of the costs for accomplishing the tasks suggested. Some I had anticipated. Many others she suggested I would have never thought of. I ended up pretty much agreeing on everything she suggested. A word of advice to prospective clients of Zan, just go with her recommendations, you won’t be sorry. First we had to clean the house out of 65 years of accumulated stuff. Neither I nor my siblings live nearby, we did not have the time to spend getting rid of their stuff ourselves. We found a company that valued the items they thought they could sell, (on our behalf), donate the things they thought they could donate, and haul away the rest. It took a little more than a week for them to accomplish all of this. It turns out that the sales of items offset the cost of hauling the junk away which yielded $0 cost to us. Then it was Zan’s turn to see that all the improvements would be accomplished. None of us children could be there to oversee the work. Zan did. And the work that was accomplished was nothing short of amazing. The house ended up looking better than it ever had. It was almost unrecognizable (in a fantastic way) to me who had lived my first 22 years there. Spectacular is not an overstatement. All because of Zan’s shepherdship. After all the work was done, she arranged for deep cleaning of the house. During the last few weeks, she advertised the house in such a way to build interest. She knows what she’s doing. Then she staged the house with furniture and furnishings and scheduled an open house. She published a deadline for bids to be accepted. The result, on the first day of accepting bids, we received multiple competing bids with the end result being a contract for 20% above the asking price! ON THE FIRST DAY!!! I couldn’t recommend Zan any higher. Zan knows the market, knows what’s required to get top dollar and knows how to accomplish it. If you want to sell a house in the Bay Area and get top dollar, Zan is the one to do it for you. "
